The Domestic Abuse Commissioner’s annual report for 2023-24 highlights:

- Publication of new evidence on the need for a ‘firewall’ for migrant survivors and influencing work on the Victims and Prisoners’ Bill.
- Concerns about the sustainability of local government finances, and the impact this has on the commissioning of domestic abuse support services.
- The appointment of lead academics to establish the Commissioner’s Family Court Review and Reporting Mechanism (FCRRM).
- Launching the pilot of the Domestic Abuse Related Deaths Oversight Mechanism, and the publication of HALT research briefings from analysis of Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs).
