The Domestic Abuse Commissioner responds to the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart

Domestic Abuse Commissioner, Dame Nicole Jacobs, said: “I’m very saddened to hear of the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart.

“Patrick was a powerful advocate for women’s rights, using every opportunity to courageously share his experience and give a voice to survivors and child victims of domestic abuse.

“His loss will be deeply felt by all of us working towards a world free from domestic abuse. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
